"He died for all so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf." - 2 Corinthians 5:15
Updated Corona Letter – March 23, 2020
I hope this note finds you experiencing the peace and fellowship of God in Christ. While the events of the last few weeks are still, and will for the foreseeable future, shape our days and schedules in new way, we know that God who created time itself holds all things in his hands. Psalm 31:14-15a says, “But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord, I say, ‘You are my God’. My times are in your hands…”. With that assurance there are some items to be aware of as we move forward.
This past Sunday morning, while different and full of the disappointment of not seeing each other face to face, was still one that God used. This coming Sunday, March 29, we will once again meet via a livestream service on Facebook, 10:15am. Like last week you can access the service through the website, www.fbclondon.com, or through Facebook, finding our London First Baptist page.
There are no Wednesday or Sunday evening activities through Easter – this is an extension from last week and mirrors the cancellation of school by the state of Arkansas through April 17. We will, however, be livestreaming our Wednesday night Bible study in Job at 6:30 pm each Wednesday evening until further notice.
The church office is not closed and ministry is not shut down. Please do not forget to continue giving. There are at least three options to enable continued tithing.
1) Drop your tithe by the office, in person
2) Write a check mail it to FBC, 17 Southern Baptist Rd, London, AR 72847
3) Give online. To give online simply…
- go to www.fbclondon.com
- click on the “online giving” button
- follow the directions to set up the giving option. If you experience any problems please contact Brady at firstname.lastname@example.org
4) you can also contact your bank and schedule automatic payments to FBC much as you may do for paying other bills
Next Monday church leadership will meet and make decisions regarding the April calendar, and especially Easter. Please pray for wisdom and the leading of the His Spirit as these things are considered. As always, please contact the office, staff or deacons with any needs or questions you may have. We love you and want nothing more than to serve you in Christ and worship our Lord with you again… soon!
